Khác với dòng máy có bàn phím cứng truyền thống, 9380 là một chiếc full cảm ứng với màn hình điện dung 3.2". Từ trước tới giờ mình toàn dùng bàn phím cứng nên lần này quyết định thử cho em full cảm ứng một cơ hội Máy có vỏ làm bằng nhựa đen bóng như mặt đàn piano rất đẹp, độ mỏng rất ấn tượng, mỏng hơn chỗ võng xuống (mỏng nhất) của chiếc Nexus S, và rất nhẹ. Tuy nhiên cũng vì thế mà khi cầm trên tay sẽ hơi gượng với các bạn nam tay to, còn với các bạn nữ thì quả thực rất thích hợp vì có thể đút túi dễ dàng không hề cộm. Lưng máy được làm bằng nhựa bóng hơi dễ xước nên nếu được thì bạn nên dán da hoặc nilon, hoặc 1 loại đề can nổi để khi đặt máy xuống bàn phần lưng không bị tiếp xúc hết xuống. Nắp lưng của 9380 rất chặt chứ không dễ bị lỏng lẻo như những chiếc đời cũ.
Mặt trước máy có 4 phím phẳng (không phải nút cảm ứng) và 1 trackpad. Cá nhân mình thích cách làm phẳng 4 phím này hơn 4 nút lồi của chiếc 9860, nhưng nhược điểm là vì nút phẳng, máy mỏng nên hơi khó bấm. Trackpad cũng rất có ích cho dù máy đã có full cảm ứng. Cạnh phải máy có 4 nút tăng/giảm âm lượng, play/pause và nút tiện lợi (convenience key) có thể gán chức năng tùy ý. Cạnh trên có lỗ tai nghe 3.5 ly và nút khóa máy, còn cạnh phải chỉ có cổng micro USB. Do phần trên máy thiết kế vát chéo nên bấm nút khóa máy hơi có chút khó khăn.
2. Camera
Máy có camera fixed focus 5 chấm, quay chất lượng VGA, có tùy chọn chống rung, có LED trợ sáng, cho chất lượng hình tương đối. Tuy nhiên mình thấy so với Curve 8900 thì chất lượng camera của 9380 chưa cao lắm, có lẽ chỉ ngang tầm 8520.
3. Loa ngoài
Điều làm mình ngạc nhiên nhất là 9380 tuy rất mỏng, nhẹ nhưng lại có loa ngoài cực to và nghe khá lọt tai. So với mấy chiếc Android mà mình dùng với SIM chính thì loa của 9380 thực sự ấn tượng vì âm lượng lớn và không bị rè.
4. Màn hình
Màn hình của 9380 mang đúng đặc điểm dòng Curve giá rẻ nên không thể hiện được nhiều màu sắc như dòng Bold, trong một vài trường hợp hiếm hoi khi bạn mở 1 tấm hình có độ chuyển màu mịn thì sẽ thấy gợn. Tuy nhiên ngoài nhược điểm đó ra thì màn hình của 9380 rất tốt, sáng rực kể cả ở ngoài nắng và nhìn màu sắc icon, wallpaper rất đằm và sang. Độ phân giải hơi thấp, tuy nhiên đây không phải 1 thiết bị có giá xx triệu nên đừng so sánh với các thể loại retina, HD, Full HD nhé.
5. Kết nối
Máy có đủ các kết nối như Wifi N, 3G, Bluetooth, NFC,... đủ để hài lòng đại đa số người dùng. Ngoài ra còn có thể chia sẻ 3G để làm mobile hotspot nữa nhé.
6. FM radio
Đây là thứ làm mình ngạc nhiên nhất! Ngay sau khi mua máy, về nhà mình thấy báo có update lên 7.1 nên up luôn, sau khi up thành công thì có ngay biểu tượng FM radio, cắm tai nghe vào là hoạt động hoàn hảo. Đây là một bất ngờ lớn vì tất cả những máy BB mình từng dùng chưa bao giờ có FM cả
7. Pin
Sau khi mua máy thì mình cài ngay Google Sync để đồng bộ danh bạ và để automatic, pin thọ được khoảng chưa đầy 1 ngày với nhu cầu sử dụng bình thường (có Whatsapp, Viber, Line là các phần mềm kết nối thường xuyên). Ban đầu thấy hơi thất vọng, nhưng chợt nhớ ra kinh nghiệm xương máu với 9700 nên mình mở Google Sync ra đổi lại từ Automatic thành Manual Sync, y như rằng, máy sạc đầy qua đêm từ sáng chủ nhật, tới thời điểm bắt đầu viết bài này đã là hơn 1 ngày và lượng pin còn lại vẫn là 80%, wow!
8. Cảm ứng & bàn phím
Ngày đầu tiên mới mua chưa quen máy thì thú thực cảm giác sử dụng màn hình cảm ứng của 9380 khá tệ. So với chiếc Nexus mình đang dùng thì kém nhạy hơn (cũng dễ hiểu vì 1 chiếc thuộc dòng cao cấp hơn và 1 chiếc là dòng cấp thấp), đôi khi trong thao tác scroll thì bị lầm tưởng thành tap. Tuy nhiên khi đã quen rồi thì không xảy ra các lỗi đó nữa.
Bàn phím ảo của máy khá khó bấm do màn hình không lớn lắm, và cách bố trí tất cả phím đều thẳng hàng nên mình chưa quen, bởi trên android thì dòng thứ 2 sẽ tụt vào một chút so với 2 dòng kế bên. Cũng như iphone thì bàn phím ảo của BB không có cách nào thay đổi
